In HOCKIO there is 4 main modes that you can choose for competitions. These modes are setup in the COMPETITION > Setup New Competition menu option then clicking the Setup button for the specific competition.

You set these modes by choosing the combination of the UMPIRE / TRACKING drop down boxes.

Umpires: Allocated / Tracking: Player Stats

In this mode, umpires are allocated in the HOCKIO application either by the MATCHES menu option or the UMPIRE ALLOCATION menu option. All umpires in this competition are appointed / allocated to each match.

Each morning both Managers and Umpires will get an email with specific links. Managers will get a link to manually pick their playing line up from their registered players. This can be done anytime before the start of the match. The managers link also has the ability for the managers to lodge a Dispute with the competition manager. If a dispute is lodged by either manager, the match status will remain in DISPUTE status until the competition manager sets the results and changes the competition to COMPLETED in HOCKIO.

Umpires link will have access to the teams selected (and select players if the managers have not) and the ability to enter individual goals and judicial cards against the specific players. This can be done live, and will update the association website real time so people can follow along.

In this mode, umpires are allocated in the HOCKIO application either by the MATCHES menu option or the UMPIRE ALLOCATION menu option. All umpires in this competition are appointed / allocated to each match.

Each morning both Managers and Umpires will get an email with specific links. The managers link will display information about their match and the ability to lodge a dispute if they so desire. Managers are not required in this mode to select a team.

Umpires link will be a very simple screen where they can enter the result of the match against the team only. They do not have to enter judicial cards at all or enter results against any player. Once the umpire enters the result and completes the match, the standings are updated. (Unless a manager lodges a dispute).

Umpires: Self Appointed / Tracking: Player Stats

In this mode, umpires are found and appointed to the match by the managers link. Managers are also responsible for entering the GOALS and Judicial cards for their team only during or after the match.

Umpires appointed by the managers are NOT required to do anything in this mode. The managers are responsible for entering all information for their team.

Once both managers have entered the results for their team and completed the match, the standings are updated on the website. If either manager raises a dispute or forgets to enter the information, the match will stay as either DISPUTED or NOT COMPLETED.

Umpires: Self Appointed / Tracking: Results Only

In this mode, umpires are appointed by the manager of the teams. Managers are also responsible for entering the final game result. Both managers enter the final result using their individual links and if the result entered by both managers matches then the standings are updated.

If either manager enters a dispute OR the results from both managers do not match, then the match is automatically put into DISPUTE status. The competition manager is then responsible to resolve the dispute and update the match to COMPLETED at which time the standings will be updated.

Umpires: Self Appointed / Tracking: No Results

In this mode we simply send emails to both managers advising them of the game. No link is included and no action by the managers is required
